Important work underway on Grip

Under the direction of the Directorate for Cultural Heritage, the county, and the municipality, Mekvik Maskin has started the work of establishing new fire stations/cabinets on Grip.

This is important work to secure the island in case of fire and to protect the buildings for the future. The work will proceed in various stages, with the first stage taking place at Grip School / Gripkroa.

After a small misunderstanding, where both access points to Grip School/Gripkroa were blocked due to excavation, a safe access route is now being established today so that we can remain open for the rest of the season.

This means that travelers can use both the restroom and the services at Gripkroa during their stay. Gripkroa will offer baguettes and pastries, as well as hot and cold beverages, right up until the season ends.
